More

S1 is an easily mouldable bovine bone grafting material with excellent handling properties. After mixing with saline solution or the patient’s blood, the material becomes “sticky”, allowing it to be easily shaped into the required form and conveniently placed into the defect.

  • Easily mouldable bovine xenograft bone graft (“sticky bone”)
  • User-friendly
  • Easy handling for any defect; after mixing with saline solution or the patient’s blood, the material becomes “sticky” and can be easily shaped into the required form
  • Excellent adhesion, high porosity and outstanding hydrophilicity
  • Maintains the required shape even after placement into the defect

Fields of application in dental implantology, periodontology and oral and maxillofacial surgery

  • Treatment of periodontal bone defects
  • Treatment of bone defects around implants
  • Sinus lifting
  • Filling of bone defects after tooth extraction to prevent alveolar atrophy
  • Remodelling of the alveolar ridge

Note

  • It is recommended to use granules of 0.2–1 mm particularly for small defects, up to 2 tooth sockets. Granules of 1–2 mm are recommended particularly for larger defects, more than 2 tooth sockets, and sinus lifts.
  • Granules of different sizes may be mixed together at the clinician’s discretion.
  • Pay attention to the correct amount of saline solution. If mixed with too little or too much saline solution, the material may not remain stable in the defect or may not be sufficiently sticky. Please follow the information provided in the table below / in the instructions for use.

The S1 bovine bone grafting material can be moulded into different shapes.
